Director of Programs & Partnerships

The Director of Programs & Partnerships is a new position that offers the opportunity to shape and lead programming that will help creative writers nationwide develop their careers, build community, and reach readers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for contemporary writing, deep knowledge of and engagement with the literary community, and experience developing and delivering programs for writers. They will be creative and entrepreneurial, able to facilitate collaborative work both internally and externally. They will share Poets & Writers’ commitment to antiracism and understand the specific challenges that writers of color confront. This is a full-time position in our New York City office reporting to the Executive Director and leading staff in New York and California. Assistant Editor

The assistant editor is a key member of the editorial team and is responsible for providing vital editorial support for our flagship publication, Poets & Writers Magazine, and our website, pw.org. The assistant editor reports to the editor in chief. This is a full-time position in our New York City office. Advertising Assistant

The advertising assistant is responsible for selling, processing, and formatting all classified advertising and job listings for Poets & Writers Magazine and pw.org. The assistant will work closely with others on the advertising team to prospect new accounts and maintain relationships with clients. This is a part time position (20 hours week) located in the New York City office. The candidate should have excellent organzational skills, proofreading skills, an attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
