The Studios of Key West

The Studios of Key West was founded with the vision of bringing artists to the island, connecting them with local audiences and artists, and offering space for both to explore their creativity. Events include lectures, performances, and literary happy hours. Author readings take place at their attached bookstore, Books & Books at The Studios, which was founded by author Judy Blume.The Studios also grants up to 40 month-long residencies to artists and writers every year.

Norco College

Read 2 Succeed @ Norco College is a college-wide reading program sponsored by the Wilfred J. Airey Library in partnership with various campus constituency groups and programs. Each fall and spring semester, a book is selected to be the focus of a college-wide read that involves our students, faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and local community members. Read 2 Succeed events include a book discussion, student panel, and speaking engagement with a book signing by the author of the book. Refreshments and book-related giveaways are provided at all events.

Magers & Quinn Booksellers

Magers & Quinn is an independently owned new and used bookseller located in the heart of the popular Uptown neighborhood in Minneapolis, near the lakes for which the city is famous. Its main location in Uptown has been in operation since 1994, when Denny Magers moved his smaller bookstore, All Books, from its location near the University of Minnesota to Hennepin Avenue and gave the store its current name. It is now one of the largest independent bookstores in the midwest and hosts several literary events throughout the year.

Third Place Books: Ravenna

Founded in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle in 2002, Third Place Books is a general interest bookstore with over forty thousand books.

The Ravenna location has Vios Cafe, a full-service sit-down Greek restaurant located at the back of the bookstore. Third Place Pub is located below Vios Café and the bookstore. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the bookstore, café, and pub. The bookstore hosts readings, discussions, signings, and other literary events throughout the year.

Third Place Books: Seward Park

Third Place Seward Park is a general-interest bookstore featuring new and used books with a used-book-buying counter open seven days a week. The shop opened its doors in May 2016 in the Seward Park neighborhood of south Seattle.

Newark Arts Alliance

Established in 1993, the Newark Arts Alliance (NAA) is a membership organization dedicated to developing community through the arts. The mission of the Newark Arts Alliance is to provide the citizens of greater Newark with the opportunity to explore and display their creativity and participate in cultural events that build community. The NAA offers classes for students of all ages and skill levels, holds events dedicated to the visual, literary, and performing arts, and sponsors a popular, full-day arts camp for two weeks each summer.

Barnes & Noble: Union Square

This Barnes & Noble bookstore is located in Union Square in Manhattan and its four floors include a wide selection of books as well as toys and games, vinyl records, a café, and a printer for print-on-demand books. This location hosts frequent author events as well as a storytime series for children. The shop is open seven days a week: Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 9:00PM, Friday and Saturday from 9:00AM to 10:00PM, and Sunday from 10:00AM to 9:00PM.

Poison Girl Bar

Poison Pen brings in three locally and nationally recognizable writers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction to read at Poison Girl Bar on the last Thursday of each month. Readings begin at 8:30 PM.

The Odyssey Bookshop

The Odyssey Bookshop was established in 1963, and serves both the general local community and the Mount Holyoke College community. With a goal of bringing readers and writers together, the bookstore’s literary event schedule includes more than one hundred events a year for adults and children—including author signings, book launch parties, book groups, workshops, and readings—which are attended by thousands of people annually.
