Editorial Focus
The Washington Writers' Publishing House is open to all genres that lean into the literary. We seek works that deepen/question the human experience. As a DC-based press, our books often intersect the political with the personal. Past winners judge manuscripts. Please read their WWPH work for more insights.
Tips From the Editor
WWPH is a diverse, inclusive, collaborative literary press staffed entirely by volunteers. Winning authors are also expected to become active members for a minimum of two years. WWPH also publishes a biweekly online literary journal, WWPH Writes, which spotlights work from a poet and prose writer in each issue. This biweekly publication is free to submit and subscribe to—and will give writers insight into our literary sensibility. Contributors are paid $25.00.
