Robert Loomis, an esteemed literary editor who worked at Random House for more than fifty years, died on Sunday at age ninety-three. During his tenure at Random House, Loomis edited books by Maya Angelou, Edmund Morris, and William Styron, among many others. He retired in 2011. (New York Times)
