This program features the Hull House Friday Night Reading Series as well as the One-on-One Reading Series, which pairs a student from the Program for Writers with a writer of national repute.

The PhD program incorporates a creative dissertation, while the MA program offers concentrations in Creative Writing, English Education, and English Studies. Most students complete their PhD in five to seven years.
