Collected Works Bookstore and Coffeehouse

Collected Works is an independent and locally-owned business, located on the corner of Galisteo & Water Streets in downtown Santa Fe, just blocks from the historic Plaza. It is a full-service general bookstore with a huge inventory of titles, including a large selection of local travel, Southwest and Native American history, art and architecture, poetry, and children’s books. 

Naropa University’s Creative Writing and Poetics Program

The Creative Writing and Poetics MFA program at Naropa University hosts numerous events and visiting faculty during the academic year, including the What Where Series, JKS Symposium, [Dis]embodied Poetics Conference, Allen Ginsberg Visiting Fellow, Leslie Scalapino Lecture in Innovative Poetics, Embodied Poetics (collaboration with MFA Theater program), Women of Naropa reading, and the 4x4 Student Reading Series.

Cambridge Center for Adult Education

Founded in 1973, and directed by poet Andrea Cohen, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. The series is sponsored by the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and holds readings at the Blacksmith House, site of the village smithy and spreading chestnut tree of Longfellow’s 1839 poem “The Village Blacksmith.”

Dixon Place

An artistic incubator since 1986, Dixon Place is a Bessie and Obie Award-winning non-profit institution committed to supporting the creative process by presenting original works of theatre, dance, music, puppetry, circus arts, literature and visual art at all stages of development. Presenting over 1000 creators a year, this local haven inspires and encourages diverse artists of all stripes and callings to take risks, generate new ideas, and consummate new practices.

Just Buffalo Literary Center

For more than forty years, Just Buffalo Literary Center has brought the world’s greatest writers to Buffalo, hosted poetry events and readings, and supported the development of young writers. They believe in the love of reading, the art of writing, and the power of the literary arts to transform individual lives and communities.

Fairbanks Arts Association

Promoting excellence in contemporary and traditional arts in Alaska’s Interior: Fairbanks Arts Association is the oldest community arts council in the state and the official arts organization for both the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the City of Fairbanks. It provides service, information and support to local artists, organizations and audiences through volunteers serving on Performing, Literary, Visual, Cinema and Educational Arts committees.

Lorelei Books

Lorelei Books is located in the historic downtown of Vicksburg, Mississippi. The loft apartment above the bookstore accommodates an audience of twenty to thirty and is ideal for poets who prefer intimate venues.

Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse

Opened in 2007, Flintridge Bookstore is a full-service bookstore, with an attached coffeehouse and large selection of gifts. It hosts regularly scheduled poetry readings and other literary events. They work very closely with their community to feature local authors and to provide core curriculum for the La Cañada school district.

Mercury Café

Since 1975, the Mercury Cafe has been a home to poets, punks, rebels, and artists from all walks of life. They serve organic-oriented eats and host many different types of events, including music, poetry, dance lessons, and tarot readings.

Symposium Books: Providence

Symposium Books is an independent bookstore that sells new and used books, gifts, cards, socks, and more. They regularly host author book readings and signings, book clubs, a poetry reading series, and other events throughout the year.
