Editorial Focus

Yellow Medicine Review is an international journal of indigenous literature, art, and thought. It includes the work of both renowned and emerging writers, artists, and scholars and is published twice a year in spring and fall.

Tips From the Editor

YMR is a journal that serves as a platform for the indigenous perspective. We define indigenous as all precolonial peoples no matter what corner of the world you come from. Each issue is guest edited by a different Indigenous writer or scholar, and each guest editor has their own unique vision for their issue. Always check the website for the current Call for Submissions.
