Smeetha Bhoumik is an award-winning Indian poet and contemporary visual artist. She is the winner of the 2023 International Reuel Prize for Poetry, the founding editor of Yugen Quest Review, and the founder of the WE Literary Community (established 2016). Notably, her poetry was archived on the moon as part of the Lunar Codex Polaris Trilogy, spearheaded by Dr. Samuel Peralta and curated by Lead Editor Joyce Brinkman. This historic archive landed at the Moon’s South Pole aboard a SPACE-X Lander in March'25.
Literary Leadership & Awards
As a prominent literary organizer, Bhoumik facilitates poetry at #CeWoPoWriMoWE and hosted the "Writing As Bridges" WE panel at the Asia Pacific Writers & Translators (APWT) conference in Bangalore. Through the WE community, she has established major literary honors, including the WE Kamala Das Poetry Award, WE Eunice de Souza Poetry Award, WE Chirag-e-Dair, WE Gifted Poet, and the WE Trailblazer Poet Teacher Award. Her favorite poetic form is the sestina.

Bhoumik is the author of four poetry collections: 'Iridescent Minds - Glowing in Tenderness' (2025), 'In Tumultuous Light, Rhapsodies!' (2023), that won a prize at the Poetry Book Contest, LWG Litfest 2025, 'Where I Belong - Moments, Mist & Song' (2019), and 'Return to Love - The Point of Poetry' (2021).

Art & Exhibitions
In addition to her writing, Bhoumik is an accomplished visual artist. Her abstract art, primarily the 'Universe Series' in oils and mixed media, explores themes of cosmic oneness and has been featured in numerous exhibitions globally. Her 2006 oil painting, 'Lunar Landing', serves as a creative anchor to her later interstellar literary achievements.
