Author's Bio

SARAH KAIN GUTOWSKI is the author of Fabulous Beast (forthcoming from Texas Review Press in 2019) and a chapbook, Fabulous Beast: The Sow (Hyacinth Girl Press, 2013). She teaches writing and literature as a Professor of English at Suffolk County Community College, where she has co-chaired the SCCC Creative Writing Festival for over a decade. Her writing has been published most recently in Phantom Drift: A Journal of New Fabulism (October 2017), Painted Bride Quarterly (Spring 2017), and Calyx: A Journal of Art and Literature by Women (March 2016). Her work has appeared also in past issues of So to Speak: A Feminist Journal of Language and Art, Verse Daily, The Gettysburg Review, The Southern Review, Epiphany, and The Threepenny Review.She keeps a record of her writing life, experience in academia, and motherhood at
