Author's Bio

Rowan MacDonald lives in Tasmania with his dog, Rosie.  His writing has appeared in a variety of publications around the world, including most recently: New Writing Scotland, Bright Flash Literary Review, Dipity Literary Magazine, Rock Salt Journal, Sans. PRESS, The Turning Leaf Journal and OPEN: Journal of Arts and Letters.  His work has also been adapted into short film by New Form Digital

Rowan's short fiction was awarded the Kenan Ince Memorial Prize (2023) and has been nominated for Best of the Net (2025).  He has twice been shortlisted in the Australian Writers' Centre Furious Fiction Challenge.  His words are forthcoming in Overland, Meniscus Literary Journal, The Bookends Review, table//FEAST Literary Magazine and Vine Leaves Press.

His childhood ghost story will feature in the upcoming book, Hexy Bitch, by BAFTA-winning actress, Daisy May Cooper (Oct 2024).  His short fiction is currently being adapted for US horror podcast, Thirteen. He will soon be appearing on the podcast, Make Every Word Count and YouTube channel, Shawn Breathes Books.

He's ranked in the Top 3 Most Popular Book Reviewers on Goodreads (Australia).
