Parneet Jaggi is Professor of English in a Post Graduate college in India. She has seven collections of poems in English- The Sun in My Palm (Bluerose, 2023), The Rainbow Curve (Shineeks, 2023), The Page I Tore (Authorspress, 2022), Beyond Words (Writers Workshop, Calcutta, 2018), Show me How Not to Grow (Cyberwit, Allahabad, 2017), Live Love Light (Writers Workshop, Calcutta, 2014) and Euphonies Of Heart And Soul (Cyberwit, Allahabad, 2013). Her over 200 poems have been included in anthologies and journals like The Enchanting Verses International Journal, the Taj Mahal Review, Contemporary Literary Review India, The Criterion etc. Her books, Matthew Arnold and the Bhagavad Gita: A Study of His Poems, and Social and Economic Values in the Teachings of Sikh Gurus reveal her love for religion and philosophy. Poetry, for her, springs from her sensitivity towards the self and the world around. For her, it is a flow of thoughts, emotions and experiences put together. Therefore she waits for the afflatus to pen down her poetry. Her poetry rises above the mundane issues of life to find a higher purpose and beauty in living.
Her historical fiction (co-authored with Vikram Singh Deol) The Call of the Citadel was published in 2020 and was widely appreciated.
