Author's Bio

Katherine Hoerth is the author of three poetry books: a collection titled The Garden, Uprooted (Slough Press, 2012), and two chapbooks titled Among the Mariposas (Mouthfeel Press, 2010) and The Garden of Dresses (Mouthfeel Press, 2012). She received her MFA from the University of Texas Pan American, and currently teaches writing at South Texas College. Katherine's poems have appeared in various journals, including Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, Front Porch, and Breakwater Review. She also serves as Assistant Poetry Editor for Fifth Wednesday Journal, in addition to reviewing first books of poetry for BOXCAR. In 2010, Katherine Hoerth received the Nuestra Voz Poetry Prize for border women poets. She lives in Deep South Texas, but can easily be visited online at http://www.katiehoerth.blogspot.com.
