Author's Bio

 

Karisma Price is a poet, screenwriter, and media artist. She is the author of the poetry collection I'm Always so Serious (forthcoming on Feb. 14th 2023 from Sarabande Books). Her work has appeared in PoetryFour Way Reviewwildness, Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. She is a Cave Canem Fellow, was a finalist for the 2019 Manchester Poetry Prize, and was awarded the 2020 J. Howard and Barbara M. J. Wood Prize from the Poetry Foundation. She is from New Orleans, Louisiana, and holds an MFA in poetry from New York University where she was a Writers in the Public Schools Fellow. She is currently an assistant professor of poetry at Tulane University.
