Kakie Pate earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Her debut collection Under the Honey Locusts is forthcoming from Cornerstone Press in February 2026. She has worked as the head poetry editor for Redivider, as well as a social media manager and poetry reader for Autofocus. Her work has been published in Rock & Sling, Poet Lore, Eunoia Review, and West Trade Review, among others. She grew up in Richmond, Virginia but now writes along the Thames in London, England with her fiancé and their sweet sheltie, Jerry. She loves books, yoga, wine, travel, and any holiday.
