Author's Bio

John Gifford (b. 1970) is an American writer, photographer, conservationist, and author best known for his writing on the natural world. His books include Red Dirt Country, a literary meditation on the rich biodiversity of Oklahoma and the southern Great Plains, and Pecan America, a volume of literary reporting on the industry, ecology, and culture of pecans. He lives in Oklahoma City.
