Author's Bio

Jane Craven was born and raised in North Carolina. Her poems have appeared in The Columbia Review, The Beloit Journal, Tar River Poetry, The Southern Humanities Review, The Carolina Quarterly, and Atlanta Review among other journals. Her work has been featured on Verse Daily Web Weekly. She is the recipient of a Universities and Colleges Academy of American Poets prize, and winner of the Cloudbank Poetry Prize and The MacGuffin Poetry Hunt. Jane earned a B.A. in English from UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing-Poetry from North Carolina State University. Her book, My Bright Last Country, won the Vern Rutsala Poetry Prize and will be published by Cloudbank Books in 2020.
