Author's Bio

Gloria Mindock is editor of Cervena Barva Press. She is the author of Grief Touched the Sky at Night (Glass Lyre Press, 2023), Ash (Glass Lyre Press), Ash has been translated into the Serbian by Milutin Đuričković and published in Belgrade by Alma Press, 2021, I wish Francisco Franco Would Love Me (Nixes Mate Books), Whiteness of Bone (Glass Lyre Press), La Portile Raiului (Ars Longa Press, Romania) translated into the Romanian by Flavia Cosma, Nothing Divine Here, (U Šoku Štampa), and Blood Soaked Dresses (Ibbetson). Widely published in the USA and abroad, her poetry has been translated and published into the Romanian, Croatian, Serbian, Montenegrin, Spanish, Estonian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Turkish, Macedonian, and French. Ash, published by Glass Lyre Press (2021), won the International Impact Award, the NYC Big Book Award, the Firebird Speak Up Talk Radio Award, The Pacific Book Award, the International Award- The Princess, Noble Poetry Skills, Art Club of Ragkonik in Smederevo, Serbia, and a Distinguished Favorite for the Independent Book Award. Gloria’s work recently has appeared in Sunflowers: Ukrainian Poetry on War, Resistance, Hope and Peace, Gargoyle, The James Dickey Review, 10 x 10, Ibbetson, Growth: Journal of Literature, Culture, & Art (Macedonia) and others. Prizes won: 

The Sam Cornish Award by the New England Poetry Club in recognition for her outstanding contributions as an international publisher, activist, and poet whose unflinching eye bears witness to atrocities inflicted on people around the world.

Grief Touched the Sky at Night is the winner of the Speak Up Talk Radio International Firebird Award, The International Impact Award, the Book Fest Book Award in Contemporary Poetry, the Independent Press Award in the Political/Social Category, and from the Outstanding Creator Awards, she received numerous awards being First Place winner in the Current Events and War/Peace Literature Categories, Second Place in two categories which are Poetry, and Grief and Coping, Third Place for Best Non-Fiction and two honorable mentions, Best Writing Non-Fiction, and  for Best Quote: "Bandages won't help/the worm will find its way."

Her book also was a finalist in the American Legacy Book Awards.
