The Sam Cornish Award by the New England Poetry Club in recognition for her outstanding contributions as an international publisher, activist, and poet whose unflinching eye bears witness to atrocities inflicted on people around the world.
Grief Touched the Sky at Night is the winner of the Speak Up Talk Radio International Firebird Award, The International Impact Award, the Book Fest Book Award in Contemporary Poetry, the Independent Press Award in the Political/Social Category, and from the Outstanding Creator Awards, she received numerous awards being First Place winner in the Current Events and War/Peace Literature Categories, Second Place in two categories which are Poetry, and Grief and Coping, Third Place for Best Non-Fiction and two honorable mentions, Best Writing Non-Fiction, and for Best Quote: "Bandages won't help/the worm will find its way."
Her book also was a finalist in the American Legacy Book Awards.
