Author's Bio

Dennis H. Lee grew up in Brooklyn. In the 1960s, he sang with the doo-wop group The Nocturnes, which followed Richie Havens at the Cafe Wha? in NYC. He has been writing poetry and songs for over 26 years. Dennis and his wife co-founded the Delaware Valley Poets Reading Series in Princeton, which continued for more than twenty years. His poetry has appeared in journals internationally, including Alimentum: The Literature of Food, antiTHESIS, Descant, Journal of New Jersey Poets, and RATTLE: Poetry for the 21st Century. Dennis was the winner of the 2020 Henry Morgenthau III Poetry Prize for his manuscript, Tidal Wave, by Passager Books, forthcoming in the fall of 2020.
