Author's Bio

Daniel Nathan Terry is the author of three books of poetry: Capturing the Dead (winner of the Stevens Prize, NFSPS Press), Waxwings (Lethe Press), and City of Starlings (Sibling Rivalry Press). His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in numerous journals, including Cimarron Review, The Greensboro Review, Chautauqua, and Chiron Review. In the summer of 2026, he will attend the Weymouth Writer’s Residency in North Carolina and the Desert Rat Residency in the Coachella valley of California. His new work has recently been featured on the NC Poetry Initiative and is upcoming on Queer Poem-a-Day. A former landscaper and horticulturist, he teaches poetry at Cameron Art Museum and lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with his husband, printmaker and curator, Benjamin Billingsley.
