Author's Bio

Dale Going is a poet & book artist. Her first full-length collection won the San Francisco State University Poetry Chapbook Award; her second was nominated for the Poets’ Prize. Her award-winning Em Press letterpress editions are archived in prominent library collections & the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She cofounded ROOMS, a quarterly zine for women writers & artists that for nearly a decade presented innovative work in its original form. She has curated exhibitions, collaborated with artists, taught, hosted a poetry radio show, written & performed in poets theater.

She received her M.A. in English/Creative Writing from San Francisco State University 1994, studying poetry with Kathleen Fraser and Myung Mi Kim; at the same time, she began her letterpress career as TA for Master Printer Peter Koch at the Press in Tuscany Alley.  She received her B.A. in English from Manhattanville College in 1975.

She lives in Manhattan and the Adirondack Park after a previous lifetime spent at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais in Northern California.
