Colleen M. Farrelly is a mathematician and hybrid writer focused on haikai forms and their extensions. Her haibun and other haikai hybrids can be found in Rattle, MacQueen's Quinterly, Contemporary Haibun Online, Haibun Today, Presence, Open: Journal of Arts & Letters, hedgerow, #FemkuMagazine, Failed Haiku, The Haibun Journal, scifaikuest, and many others over the last few years.

Her work has been anthologized in haikai volumes (including The Mainichi Shimbun, Contemporary Haibun, Red Moon Press anthologies, and multiple science fiction anthologies). She's a 2025-2026 confluence fellow in haibun, a multiple Touchstone nominee, a Dwarf Star finalist, and a scholar in the haibun form.
