Casandra Hernández Ríos received her MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction, from CSU Long Beach. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and Journalism from the same school.

Her cuentos have been recognized by Glimmer Train Press with honorable mentions, and have appeared or are forthcoming in The Hooghly Review, The Bangalore ReviewIn Parentheses, The Acentos ReviewSpectrum Literary JournalVerdad magazine, Two Sisters, and the Santa Ana River Review, among others.

Casandra was born in Ciudad de México, raised in Los Angeles, California, and now writes from Denver, Colorado.
