Author's Bio

Annie Finch is a poet, writer, speaker, performer, and teaching artist and author of numerous books of poetry, including Eve, Calendars, and Spells: New and Selected Poems.  She writes often on women and earth-centered spirituality, and her poems have appeared in the Penguin Book of Twentieth-Century American Poetry and onstage at Carnegie Hall. Annie has also published many books on writing and reading poetry including A Poet’s Craft: A Comprehensive Guide to Making and Sharing Your Poetry. She is the editor of Choice Words, the first major anthology of writing on abortion. Annie offers independent poetry consultations at her website and travels to perform her poetry and offer workshops on “Healing Rhythms of Words,” her transformative path for realizing psychological and spiritual growth through rhythmic language.
