Author's Bio

Alarie Tennille was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, and graduated from the University of Virginia in the first class admitting women. She graduated with a degree in English, Phi Beta Kappa key, and black belt in Feminism. She still misses the ocean, but loves the writing community she’s found in Kansas City. Alarie serves on the Emeritus Board of The Writers Place. Her latest (3rd) poetry book is Three A.M. at the Museum from Kelsay Books. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies including The Whirlybird Anthology of Kansas City Writers, Poetry East, Coal City Review, The Ekphrastic Review, I-70 Review, Tipton Review, Allegro Poetry Review, and Southern Women’s Review.
