New York City poet Tim Dlugos published four chapbooks and one full-length collection before his death from AIDS in 1990. A new volume, A Fast Life: The Collected Works of Tim Dlugos, is being released by Nightboat Books this month. In this recording from May 1984, Dlugos reads his poem "Pretty Convincing," reprinted in A Fast Life (it previously appeared in BOMB and two previous posthumous collections), at Beyond Baroque Literary/Arts Center in Venice, California.
