Brian Tierney

Author's Bio

Brian Tierney was born in Morristown, NJ, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, and a graduate of the Bennington College MFA Writing Seminars, he was named among Narrative’s “30 Below 30” emerging writers for 2013, and was most recently a finalist for Frontier Poetry's 2018 Industry Prize. He currently lives in Oakland, Ca., where he teaches poetry at The Writing Salon.
