The program features the College of Arts and Sciences Reading Series, and hosts a distinguished visiting writer each spring semester. Second-year students have the opportunity to teach creative writing; first-year students teach general composition. Graduate students also have the opportunity to propose panels and workshops for the annual Winter Wheat Festival of Writing, held every November.
