Programs & Partnerships Assistant

The Programs & Partnerships Assistant is an important member of the team responsible for developing and delivering programs that provide professional development, financial support, and advancement for writers at all stages of their careers.

The Assistant works closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Programs & Partnerships to support, implement, and promote programs including Readings & Workshops, Online Classes, Get the Word Out (GTWO), and literary prizes including the Maureen Egen Writers Exchange and the Jackson Poetry Prize. In addition, the Assistant coordinates an initiative to provide high school students and their teachers with free subscriptions to Poets & Writers Magazine.

This is a full-time position in our New York City office. We offer a hybrid work environment, with the opportunity to work from home several days per week, but employees must be in the NYC metro area and available to work in the office two days per week and additionally as required, plus occasional evenings and weekends.
