A prize of $1,000 and publication in Gulf Coast is given annually for a short work of prose. Submit up to three prose poems, works of flash fiction, or micro essays (or a mix of up to three works in those categories) of no more than 500 words each with a $20 entry fee, which includes a subscription to Gulf Coast, by August 31.
