Editorial Focus

Trio House Press publishes literary creative nonfiction and poetry that highlights voices, topics, and angles that are underrepresented in contemporary literature, and that have the power to create empathy and deeper understanding of the subjects they cover. In addition to our annual open reading period in June, we sponsor three contests: The Trio Award for First or Second Book of Poetry; The Louise Bogan Poetry Award; and The Aurora Polaris Creative Nonfiction Prize.

Tips From the Editor

Please see our website, www.triohousepress.org, for detailed information about our submission guidelines and deadlines. We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts outside of listed periods unless they are submitted by literary agents with a detailed proposal.

We also recommend reading our Substack, where you'll find interviews with our authors, tips for submitting, and more. Reading several of our titles is also recommended.
