Editorial Focus

Lost Telegram Press is now accepting query letters to hear about new projects for publication. The editors are happy to read queries about projects that are conceptual in nature. Projects that are not commonly seen in bookstores or are found in alternative book shops are what they are looking to read.

Please look at the works that we have already published. The submission guidelines are pretty clear as to what the editors are looking for in terms of subject matter and types of genre material as well.

Tips From the Editor

If you aren’t excited about your project, don’t expect us to be either. For us, this is a labour of love at this point in time and the dedication, time, and money goes into creating great projects and furthering literature and experimentation in publishing.

For new authors or seasoned writers and creators, please be prepared to have some plans to show you are going to actively marketing your project. DIY marketing is just as valid and will cost you little to nothing. We have to work together to get your work out there.

Be aware of how small presses work. If you are expecting for your book to be in bookstores across the country and for your tour to be funded, please look for a large publishing company. This is publishing for love more than profit.
