Loblolly Press is an independent publisher based in Asheville, North Carolina, dedicated to contemporary poetry, short fiction, and novels rooted in the American South.
The editors believe in sustained editorial care, long-term author partnership, and making genuine room for voices too often sidelined elsewhere. They seek writing with a distinctly Southern register—attentive to the pressures of living here now, grounded in communities and experiences traditional publishing has too often overlooked.
They exist to expand what Southern literature can hold.
