Editorial Focus

Livingston Press was founded in 1983 by Charles Henley as a means to publish regional authors. Under Joe Musso in 1988, the press expanded, to publish books by regional authors. Again, in 1993, the press expanded its focus to publish “Offbeat literature” from across the United States.

Tips From the Editor

Livingston Press publishes literary fiction. We do not publish genre work, unless it “rises above” said genre. We do not publish children’s stories. Lastly, we don’t publish nonfiction. We have an affinity for form: for example, linked stories or novels in verse.
