Editorial Focus

Ink & Ribbon Press is a nonprofit poetry publisher devoted to craft, discovery, and the permanence of the printed word. The press publishes finely made, small-run editions of poetry and literary prose that unite language, design, and form. Its editorial focus is on work of depth, originality, and precision, writing that invites reflection and endures beyond the page.

Tips From the Editor

Ink & Ribbon Press values craft, clarity, and emotional truth. The editors look for work that balances intellect and feeling, with attention to language as both music and material. Poets and writers are encouraged to send cohesive manuscripts rather than collections of standalone pieces. Submissions are read with care, and design is treated as part of the art with each book a made thing. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, and emerging voices are especially encouraged to submit.
