Editorial Focus
Gibson House Press is a traditional publisher committed to connecting literary fiction with curious and discerning readers. Gibson House publishes excellent novels written by working musicians and musicians at heart.
The press considers adult literary fiction by writers in any genre/subject matter, especially the work of those traditionally underrepresented in literary publishing.
Tips From the Editor
Writers are invited to submit complete full-length novel manuscripts (50-80K words). Provide a brief bio and include a synopsis of your novel in your cover letter.
The editors prefer your manuscript in Word, doublespaced, one-inch margins, page numbers centered at bottom of page, "normal" formatting, single space after periods.
If the press is interested in acquiring your novel to publish, you will hear within three months. Due to the current high volume of submissions, they only respond to those they wish to pursue further.
