Editorial Focus

Ashland Creek Press is a small, independent publisher of books for a better planet. Our mission is to publish a range of books that foster an appreciation for worlds outside our own, for nature and the animal kingdom, and for the ways in which we all connect.

We award an annual prize for environmental literature, The Siskiyou Prize (, and publish an anthology of short fiction about animals (Among Animals).

Tips From the Editor

Please read our submission guidelines and study our current titles to get a feel for what we publish. In all genres, we have a strong focus on the environment and animal protection. Please also note that we don't currently publish poetry or books for children.
