Founded in 1956, the Colorado Review is an American literary journal published by the Center for Literary Publishing at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. A national literary journal featuring contemporary fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and book reviews, the Colorado Review publishes three times a year; each issue is about two hundred pages. There are different guidelines for prose reviews and poetry reviews on their website, and book reviews are exclusively published on their website.
Previously unpublished reviews of poetry and short story collections, novels, and literary nonfiction that, generally, have come out within the last year, are accepted. They do not review work that has been self-published.
