Place. Climate. Justice. Terrain.org is an award-winning literary journal publishing online on a rolling basis: editorials, poetry, essays, fiction, articles, reviews, interviews, artwork, videos, and case studies.

Please use our online submission system, via Submittable, at https://terrainorg.submittable.com/submit [6]. We also have an annual contest in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry with a prize of $1,000 in each genre. That is open May 1 to Labor Day (U.S.) each year. We pay $50 per contribution otherwise, and sometimes $200 for select series in partnership with Spring Creek Project, such as 2024’s Climate Stories in Action.
