Room is Canada’s oldest feminist literary journal, and has published fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, art, interviews, and book reviews for 40 years. Published quarterly by the West Coast Feminist Literary Magazine Society, also known as the Growing Room Collective, Room showcases writing and art by cisgender and transgender women, transgender men, Two-Spirit, and nonbinary people.
Tips From the Editor
Room publishes fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and art by folks of marginalized genders, including cisgender and transgender women, transgender men, Two-Spirit and nonbinary people (everyone but cis men). We specifically encourage writers of marginalized genders with additional overlapping underrepresented identities to submit their work.
