Students attend two 10-day residencies each year, in Fall and Spring terms, at the OSU-Cascades campus in Bend, Oregon.

The program hosts a Distinguished Visiting Writers series, which has hosted writers Geraldine Brooks, CA Conrad, Jeff Fearnside, Karen Finneyfrock, Rebecca Morgan Frank, Stacy Gnall, Raquel Gutiérrez, Kaui Hart Hemmings, Tiana Kahakauwila, Colleen Kinder, André Naffis-Sahely, Elizabeth A.I. Powell, James Prosek, and Jennifer Tseng.

The priority application deadline is March 1 for the fall term. The final application deadline is June 1 for the fall term.
