The 24th annual Brattleboro Literary Festival was held from October 17 to October 19 in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. The festival featured readings, panels, and author conversations. Participating writers included poets Albert Abonado, Colin Channer, Tiana Clark, Chard deNiord, Martín Espada, Carlene Kucharczyk, Dzvinia Orlowsky, and Rachel Trousdale; fiction writers Aria Aber, Jessica Anthony, William Boyle, Ada Calhoun, Heather Clark, Timothy Crellin, Marcy Dermansky, Alison Espach, Rob Franklin, Makenna Goodman, Adam Haslett, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, Betsy Lerner, Peter Mendelsund, Ben Shattuck, Ocean Vuong, and Tim Weed; and nonfiction writers Henry Alford, Harry Bliss, David S. Cohen, Stephanie Gorton, Adam Higginbotham, Carole Joffe, Paul Lisicky, Tiya Miles, Nell Irvin Painter, Adam Plunkett, Laurie Gwen Shapiro, Sebastian Smee, Chelsea Steinauer-Scudder, and Helen Whybrow.
