The program offers travel grants for all students attending the international residency; an honorarium for the editor in chief of Jelly Bucket; multiple internship and scholarship opportunities; and graduate assistantships are available on a competitive basis, including one 100% online position. All workshops are held live—online, one night per week, in fall and spring. Students attend two-week residencies each June/July abroad (either Lisbon, Portugal or Harlaxton, England) or domestically (online with an optional in-person weekend on the Eastern Kentucky University campus). Past summer residency keynote speakers include Jericho Brown, Ana Castillo, Allisson Adelle Hedge Coke, Camille Dungy, Holly Goddard Jones, and Ira Sukrungruang.
The application deadline for the fall semester is July 31; the application deadline for the spring semester is November 30; the application deadline for the summer residency is January 31 (international residency) and April 30 (domestic residency).
