We look for poems with strong imagery and interesting ideas that unfold or explode or explore new and unexpected places in 61 lines or less. We like publishing new poets or new work from more established poets.
Please note: though we don't charge a reading fee for regular submissions, we do have a contest entry fee for the Spring/Summer Poetry contest.
Tips From the Editor
Keep us interested in what's happening in the poem & with your language. If you rhyme, make sure the rhyme is integral to the poem: form should be an extension of content! Poems must bear the poet's name (each page), address, e-mail (if any), and telephone number. Submit up to 5 poems via Submittable or snail mail, and include a brief biography (about 50 words).
We try to respond in a reasonable amount of time but have limited staff, especially in summer.
