Editorial Focus

Cactus Press is a Montréal-based poetry press dedicated to discovering new and idiosyncratic voices. The editors embrace poetry in all its forms, from traditional lyric and formal verse to concrete and experimental work. They value originality, artistic curiosity, and a passion for the craft.

Tips From the Editor

Cactus Press reads year round for our annual Chapbook Series, which publishes an average of 6-8 titles a year. Don’t worry about publication credits, academic credentials, or whether your writing fits a particular aesthetic. Send us your weirdest, wildest, and best. We're happy to read it. 20 pages of poetry max.

Please note: We are currently only accepting unsolicited submissions from residents of Canada.
