Inroads is a publication directed at men engaged in mythopoetic work. Why men? Because so many men are looking for an alternative to the toxic masculinity of today. They have been taught not to share feelings or be vulnerable, and to dominate. Inroads offers an alternative, a way to the deep soul, a rich experience. Its readers are people with interests in poetry, story, mythology, depth psychology, and a deeper experience of life.
Tips From the Editor
Poetry with deep reverberations and wild images (Mary Oliver), leaps of imagination (Robert Bly), insights that open into deep channels (William Stafford), places of connectedness and grounding (Wendell Berry). Essays that use mythology, story, or even pop culture imagery, mythologize everyday life or “deepen events into experiences,” explore psychological archetypes, tie myth and psychology to current events, or explore humanity’s deep connection to the natural world.
