In the current issue of Poets & Writers Magazine, we introduce five debut authors: Sarah Aziza, author of The Hollow Half: A Memoir of Bodies and Borders (Catapult, April); Erika J. Simpson, author of This Is Your Mother (Scribner, May); Julian Brave NoiseCat, author of We Survived the Night (Knopf, October); Amanda Hess, author of Second Life: Having a Child in the Digital Age (Doubleday, May); and Samina Najmi, author of Sing Me a Circle: Love, Loss, and a Home in Time (Trio House Press, October). Read essays by the debut authors as well as excerpts from their books.
