Author's Bio

Ricardo Nazario y Colón is a poet, educator, and cultural advocate whose work explores identity, belonging, and the enduring legacies of colonialism. Born in the Bronx and raised between New York City and the highlands of Puerto Rico, he brings a distinctive voice shaped by African, Indigenous, and Peninsular heritage. He is the author of The Moor of the Bronx (2023) and Of Jíbaros and Hillbillies (2011), and his poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies.
