Author's Bio

Caidan Walker is a poet studying English Literature and Creative Writing at Cornell University, and during his last two semesters, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the undergraduate literary magazine, Rainy Day. He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Lucky Lizard Journal, an egalitarian journal publishing biannually. He has been published in various journals and magazines and his first chapbook Vale was published in July 2024 by Kelsay Books and nominated by the publisher for the Eric Hoffer award. He was awarded the 1st place prize for the George Harmon Coxe Poetry Award at Cornell University during his senior year. He is inspired by a variety of writers, most notably poets like Yeats, Eliot, and Dylan Thomas, as well as others like Camus. Academically, his interests are grounded in the study of aesthetics as well as 19th and 20th century poetry. Some of his earlier work appears under "C. Walker" instead.
