Prospect Street Writers House

Prospect Street Writers House offers one- and two-week residencies in January and from May through November to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translators at the Prospect Street residency in the village of North Bennington, Vermont. Residents are provided with lodging in dorm-style bedrooms with a private or shared bathroom and an en suite kitchenette and sitting room, as well as access to shared common spaces, including a kitchen, dining room, great room, library, porch, and half-acre garden with a terrace. The cost of a one-week residency is $1,450; a two-week residency, which includes dinners, is $2,450. Grants of $350 and $700 respectively are also available, and additional aid based on financial need can be requested. Further financial aid for BIPOC writers is available through a dedicated fund. To apply, submit up to 15 pages of poetry or prose and a letter of interest with a $30 application fee.
