Author's Bio

A Bronx, New York native, in spring 2026, Beth published her first novel, Three Lives in New York, about a tumultuous day at a real estate company whose president is involved in a kickback scheme. Beth enjoyed reading from the novel at the Hudson Valley Writers Center, and looks forward to more readings.

One of her first readers commented about the book:

“I was surprised by the tears in my eyes when I finished your book. It's excellent. It's such good writing that shows a slice of interconnected New York life, and I particularly liked the cabbies in each section. Quite an achievement to flesh out a whole story and have the different parts dovetail so well. And to have such an atmospheric feel of the real estate company, the streets of Manhattan (and the Bronx) and the lights and bridges of NYC.”

Beth Adelman's short stories and fiction have been published in  Literary Bronx, Bodega, WORK, Woven Tale Press, Brilliant Corners, the Jewish Literary Journal, and Jewish Fiction.net.  She has received two BRIO Awards for Fiction from the Bronx Countil on the Arts. Her essay on the poet Naomi Replansky is online at the Literary Bronx website.
